Corvette Front Lower A-Arm 1963-82 part # CTA-31L (sold as a pair)

Control Arms, Bushings and Shafts for C2 and C3 Corvettes
Corvette Front Lower A-Arm 1963-82 part # CTA-31L (sold as a pair)
Global West has produced a replacement tubular lower control arm for 1963, 1964, 1965, 1966, 1967, 1968, 1969, 1970, 1971, 1972, 1973, 1974, 1975, 1976, 1977, 1978, 1979, 1980, 1981, 1982 Corvettes. The lower arms are supplied with ball joints, cross shafts, bump stops, Del-a-lum bushings and a spring cushion for indexing the coil. One of the unique features of this arm is the extended bushing area. Corvettes require more support at the bushing and shaft location. The stock arm has a tendency to deflect at the bushing location. The bushings being rubber also contributed to the problem. The movements made the car follow the road, which could be defined as hunting. Global West increased the bushing surface area on the shaft and in the control arm housing to provide greater control and resistance to deflection. The spring cushion in the Global West lower arm rotates in the pocket so you can line up the spring tang properly between the index in the frame and lower arm. This is beneficial if you have trimmed the spring for lowering the car. Global West lower arms feature the following:
  • Strength: (Built out of 1-5/8 inch roll cage tubing).
  • Del-a-lum bushings are used for most applications.
  • Reinforced sway bar pick up points.
  • Lower arm bump stops are standard.
  • Steering bump stops are standard.
  • Cross bar supporting spring pocket.
  • Traditional Global West straps are used at bushing housing locations for additional strength.
  • Control arms are powder coated black.
